Prison Planet is running a story about how some wounded veterans whose imbedded shrapnel set off metal detectors and led to harsh TSA bullying and crotch grabbing.
Read the story here.
"TSA Thug Grabs Crotch of Wounded Vet"
How can we possibly ask these troops to put their lives and health on the line to defend our freedom and then treat them like common terrorists in their own country? We should be ashamed of ourselves for allowing our wounded veterans to be mistreated, especially when they have so much metal left in their bodies that they set off metal detectors. This is simply disgraceful.

Okay, Go Ahead and Mess with Texas
Apparently, the Texas Senate has an abundance of cowards. Already passed by the Texas House of Representatives, HB 1937 was going to make it a crime for a government worker to inappropriately touch a person without probable cause. HB 1937 would essentially bring an end to the most invasive aspects of TSA pat-downs.
In a clear demonstration that the Transportation Security Administration's power has reached much too far, John Murphy, the U.S. District Attorney for Western Texas, essentially warned the Texas Senate that Texas' ban on TSA groping could lead to a ban on flights in the state. Of course, this spooked the wimps in the Texas Senate, and HB 1937 has been effectively blocked.
What's wrong with these sissy Texas Senators? Texas had a real opportunity to exert its state's rights here. The TSA probably could have grounded all flights out of Texas. If they had done that, it would have created a spectacular setting for Texas to stand for her freedom. This could have been a watershed moment for American freedom. Instead, it is just another example of how governments disregard the people for the sake of ease.
Two parties need to be ashamed in this confrontation. The United States federal government should be ashamed for bullying a state. The Senators in Texas should be ashamed for allowing themselves to be bullied so easily. When Texans start backing down from a fight, times have truly gotten bad.

Department of Homeland Security Seizes More Domains
As part of the ongoing program, "Operation in Our Sites," the wildly out-of-control Department of Homeland Security has seized more domains it has decided are facilitating copyright and trademark infringement. Keep in mind these companies were not found guilty of anything in a court of law. The DHS just decided the businesses were doing something wrong, and they seized the domains.
Imagine if you owned a business and the DHS just decided to take your domain without even allowing you a chance to defend your business in court. You could go bankrupt before you could get the problem corrected.
By the way, do you remember when the Department of Homeland Security was supposed to be protecting us from terrorists? At what point did counterfeit merchandise and pirated movies become a threat to national security? Would the DHS not be serving us better if they would use their resources to control the borders and watch terrorist groups?
Here are the latest domains seized by the DHS. Certainly, there will be more.

TSA Causes Dangerous Police Situation with Bomb Drill
It never ends. On May 12, 2011, the bungling dolts at the Transportation Security Administration were conducting a drill at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport with a fake bomb to test the TSA screeners. For some reason, the TSA did not think it would be necessary to alert the police to this drill.
These fake bomb tests are fairly routine. Often, the fake bombs make it past the TSA screeners without incident. This is probably because the TSA screeners are generally just too busy hassling senior citizens who have artificial hips, feeling up little children, and gawking at the naked pictures their buddies are emailing from the full-body scanner observation center. Surprisingly, on this particular occasion, the normally inept TSA screeners were actually able to identify an object that looked like a bomb in an undercover agent's carry-on bag. The resulting TSA actions caused confusion and led to police drawing guns and evacuating the screening area.
Someone could have been killed during all of this confusion. The undercover agent with the fake bomb could have been shot by police or--even worse--a panicked bystander who could have been acting oddly due to the stressful situation could have been mistaken for an accomplice and shot.
This is another example of just how utterly incompetent the TSA is. This ridiculous agency of glorified mall cops cannot be trusted with the safety of the American people.

Secret Service Questions Middle School Boy Without Parental Consent
Timi Robertson of Tacoma, Washington is upset because the Secret Service went to her seventh grade son's school, Truman Middle School, and questioned him without her permission. Thirteen-year-old, Vito LaPinta, claims to have posted on his Facebook site something to the effect that Osama bin Laden was dead and Obama needs to be careful because there could be suicide bombers.
Children, especially younger boys, often have difficulty expressing themselves clearly. It is possible that Vito LaPinta may have phrased his statement awkwardly, and the odd wording is what alarmed the Secret Service, but that does not really matter. Perhaps, Vito LaPinta actually said something threatening.
The problem here is that the Secret Service is going into a child's school, having him pulled out of class, and questioning him without a parent's permission or presence. Why did the Secret Service not just wait a few hours and approach the boy at home? Were they worried the child was going to launch an attack that day? No. The Secret Service approached the boy at school, because they knew they could get away with it there. If they would have gone to the boy's house, his parents would have had an opportunity to refuse questioning and hire a lawyer.
If this situation seems to familiar to you, that probably means you have read about the Gestapo during Germany's Nazi era. The Gestapo was known for questioning people in unexpected situations and questioning children without parental consent. Now, the Secret Service is not the Gestapo, but whatever similarities exist should be noted.

Federal Government Forcing Chips in Cell Phones
Congress approved the Warning Alert and Response Network Act in 2006. This act legally requires that, beginning in 2012, all new cell phones sold in the United States must be equipped to receive alerts from the federal government. This involves incorporating a special microchip and software to be included in the phone.
The equipped phones will receive disaster warnings, Amber alerts, and messages from the President of the United States. Consumers are supposed to be allowed to opt out of the disaster warnings and Amber alerts, but they will not be allowed to opt out of messages issued by the President.
So, here is what is happening. The federal government is requiring cell phone makers to include extra equipment and software on your privately purchased cell phone. Private companies are being forced to add additional features to their products, and they will pass those costs on to you. You, as a consumer, will have no choice about having the extra equipment on your cell phone, which is your private property.
Here is the worse part. Since you cannot opt out of receiving messages from the President, you will be forced to receive messages from the President, whenever the President wishes to send a message to your phone. It does not matter if you want the messages or not, they will come to your phone if it has the chip.
The creepiest part is that the federal government is mandating cell phone features. The long-term potential for abuse is tremendous. Just imagine what sorts of things can happen when your government gains control over your private communication devices.

TSA Pat-Down on Baby
TSA Performing Pat-Down on Baby |
You may sleep well tonight knowing the TSA is doing all it can to protect you from the terrifying surge of baby bombs. Some of us have read about the horrible practice of babies being used in exploding booby traps during the Vietnam War to injure American soldiers, so we cannot be too careful, right? What will happen if an al-Qaeda operative finds a book in a library and gets inspired to hide a bomb in a baby's diaper? Apparently, that is a tremendous threat, so the TSA is feeling up the babies now.
Take a long hard look at this photo. This is what it looks like when freedom begins to die.
