Airline passenger, Amy Alkon is accusing, Transportation Security Administration Agent, Thedala Magee of what amounts to sexual assault. On March 31, 2011, Amy Alkon was passing through security at LAX in Los Angeles and wound up getting the dreaded pat-down. During the pat-down, Amy Alkon claims Thedala Magee pressed the side of her hand into Alkon's vagina, between her labia, four times. During and after the pat-down, Amy Alkon made quite a scene by crying and then accusing the TSA agent of rape.
Now, rape is a very serious word, but pressing ones hand into a vagina, even through clothing, is a very serious act. The act of pressing a hand between labia through clothing may not exactly qualify as rape under many legal definitions, but it certainly is a hostile violation of one's personal space and would absolutely be considered a crime in just about any situation. For some reason, TSA workers are allowed to commit these sexual offenses on innocent people without probable cause. They get to do it, and they do it with impunity.
Of course, people are now attacking Amy Alkon and questioning her truthfulness, but is that really fair? If Alkon's story is true, this poor woman was sexually assaulted by a government worker. It does not really matter if the sexual assault is legally sanctioned by the federal government or not. If unwanted sexual contact takes place, it is sexual assault. How can we, in good conscience, doubt Amy Alkon's story? When a person claims to have been sexually assaulted, do we not owe it to the victim to offer the benefit of the doubt?
Sure, Alkon could be exaggerating a story for publicity. It is a sensational story. Her story, however, has a lot of credibility. TSA workers are constantly jamming their hands into people's crotches and poking around in there. Is it really crazy to think Alkon's vagina may have been violated in some way during this interaction? Thedala Magee certainly had access to Alkon's vagina and had the opportunity to push her hand between Alkon's labia if she wanted to do so. Should we not assume Alkon to be the ultimate authority on whether or not her vagina was compromised?
Well, Amy Alkon decided to fight back against the TSA agent using her right to free of speech. She recounted her alleged assault on the Internet in a post titled "Don't Give the TSA an Easy Time of Violating Your Rights." She even identified the accused by name: Thedala Magee.
Thedala Magee did not like her name being published on the Internet by the alleged victim. Magee has hired attorney, Vicki Roberts, and she is now threatening to sue Alkon for defamation. She has even offered to settle out-of-court for $500,000. Is that not just adorable? A woman claims sexual assault, and even though there is likely to be a full-color video of the accused with her hand in the victim's crotch, the accused has the nerve to threaten a lawsuit and offer to make it go away for some quick cash.
Thedala Magee was probably informed by the TSA she has every right to sexually violate people, and Magee probably thought she would never have to answer for her actions. These TSA buffoons, put on their uniforms, and they feel they can go to work and do whatever they wish to people because they are acting under the authority of the government. Some people just believe that, if the government does it, it cannot be wrong. Even worse, some people think, "I was just following orders," is a completely adequate excuse for all sorts of terrible behavior.
Well, fortunately, we have the Internet for things like this. Thedala Magee may be able to force Amy Alkon to remove her accusations from the her Web site. Magee may even be able to squeeze some money out of Alkon, but one thing Thedala Magee will never be able to do is escape the shame that is going to be associated with her name all over the Internet from now on. And, you know what? Magee deserves to be shamed.
These TSA workers may just be going around following orders, but they volunteered for the job, and they are getting paid to routinely terrorize innocent people who simply want to get on a plane and go somewhere. Yes, the federal government is instructing them to violate people, but these TSA workers do not have to take these jobs. If they choose to be willing participants in an ongoing assault on the civil liberties of innocent people, then these TSA workers deserve whatever shame comes their way, even if that means they get publicly exposed by name as the sex offenders they are.
If there were more gutsy people like Amy Alkon who would have the courage to stand up to these sanctioned sexual assaults, fewer people would want to become TSA agents and those who continue to do the job might be more likely to be a little more respectful of people's privacy, rights, and human dignity. We should sympathize with Amy Alkon in her pain and applaud her for her bravery.

Transgender Security Administration: Sexuality and Gender Issues Cause Confusion at TSA
Ashley Yang is a confused man/woman. He began life as a male, but has chosen to live life as a female. Ashley Yang takes female hormones, dresses like a woman, behaves like a woman, uses women's restrooms, etc. Yang, however, has not yet undergone gender reassignment, so Ashley is technically a male in the eyes of the Transportation Security Administration.
Ashley Yang's gender bending ways caused her problems in her job as a security checkpoint screener with the TSA at LAX. She applied for the job as a woman and was hired as a woman, but she informed the TSA of her gender history prior to a background check. (Yes, surprisingly, it appears the TSA actually does conduct background checks on at least some of the power-tripping, bumbling freaks they hire.)
The TSA offered Yang a chance to work with baggage, but Yang did not seem to be interested in the pirate's life of theft and freebooting that so many TSA baggage inspectors enjoy. Yang was interested in a different kind of booty and is more of a hands-on person. He/she probably joined the TSA with dreams of getting up close and personal with the endless stream of submissive airline passengers TSA victimizes on a daily basis.
Since the TSA considers Yang a male, they made him (an aspiring her) perform his/her job as a man. TSA management originally ordered Yang to dress as a man, wear a male hairstyle, use the men's restroom, etc. This man/woman was also ordered to pat-down only male passengers, and this is when the absurdities of TSA's intrusive pat-downs begin with regard to sexuality and gender issues.
Now, if you are a man, would you rather receive a pat-down from straight man or male who has made some rather serious and obvious commitments to live life like a woman? When that hand is sliding around your testicles and anus, do you want that to be the hand of a straight guy or someone who may have some unconventional and flexible ideas about sexuality and gender roles? Really, it is your genitals, so who do you want touching them? If you are a man, do you suppose you would be more comfortable being touched by a cross-dressing, hormone-altered man or a straight woman? Would you prefer to receive a pat-down from a gender-switching male or a lesbian? Forgive the assumption here, but if given options, being touched by a man who longs to be a woman would probably be very far down on most straight men's lists of pat-down preferences.
On the surface, it seems like the issues here are sexual preference and gender, but these are only minor complications caused by a much more serious problem. The TSA's pat-downs themselves are too sexual. When it matters whether a pat-down is being performed by a male or female, then the pat-down is too intrusive and sexually charged. It should not matter whether the hand in your crotch is a male or a female hand, because that hand should not be in your crotch in the first place.
By the way, if you are a man, and you actually do want a personal pat-down from Ashley Yang, you will not enjoy the pleasure of getting a federally sanctioned groping for free at LAX. You will have to track down Ashley Yang and ask him directly for a freelance pat-down. Ashley Yang was fired from the TSA for using the women's restroom at work, making him perhaps the most harmless person ever to be fired by the TSA. Normally, to get fired by the TSA, an agent has to do something big like steal from passengers, beat up a coworker, commit rape, kidnap someone, etc. Failure to stop bombs, weapons, and terrorists from getting onto airplanes are not always grounds for dismissal at the TSA. Competence and public safety is a lesser concern there. If a person wants to get fired by the TSA he/she had better be prepared to do something either really nasty or just use the wrong restroom.

TSA Worker Stole from LAX Passengers
If you come back from a flight and find that valuables are missing from your luggage, do not automatically blame yourself for being absentminded or careless. It is very possible a Transportation Security Administration agent stole items from you.
Paul Yashou of Torrance, California is the latest TSA employee to be caught stealing from passengers. Paul Yashou got caught stealing things such as luxury watches and a pre-paid debit card from airline passengers at the Los Angeles International Airport.
It should be noted that the TSA did not catch the thief. One of the theft victims broke the case upon noticing one of the stolen watches was listed on eBay. Paul Yashou was arrested on July 22, 2011. So, not only does the TSA hire criminals, they do such a poor job of watching them, that independent citizens have to be the ones catching the federally employed thieves.
These TSA workers are supposed to be looking for bombs and terrorists, but they are simply too busy stealing, groping, harassing, humiliating innocent people to be bothered with such burdens and formalities. The people are who supposed to be protecting you are much more likely to be the ones victimizing you.

TSA Lets Nigerian Man with Invalid Boarding Pass Fly Across United States
Well, the Transportation Security Administration has failed again. While the TSA was busy molesting elementary school kids, harassing wounded war veterans, and worrying about elderly cancer patients with wet diapers, they neglected to stop a Nigerian man from flying across the United States with an invalid boarding pass on June 24, 2011.
Olajide Oluwaseun Noibi boarded Virgin America Flight 415 at New York's JFK airport and flew to LAX in Los Angeles. After the flight was airborne, a flight attendant noticed the Nigerian man was sitting in a seat that should have been vacant. Noibi was allowed to get off of the plane in Los Angeles and leave.
Going untouched for days, Noibi returned to LAX. He said he spent the night in LAX Gate 51B and attempted to board a flight to Atlanta on Delta Airlines the next day. In this incident, Noibi was searched and found to have ten more boarding passes. All of the boarding passes belonged to other people.
This is a perfect example of how extraordinarily incompetent the TSA is. They never noticed Olajide Oluwaseun Noibi. An flight attendant had to do the TSA's job for them.
Maybe Noibi was just trying to fly for free, but he is from Nigeria, a country that is a massive hotbed of terrorism. The TSA is defending itself by stating Noibi was screened, but that is a silly defense. The 9/ll hijackers made test runs before the actual attack. Al-Qaeda is known for probing defenses just to see what they can do without getting caught. You cannot have people from hostile countries flying across the country without proper documents.
What if Noibi was not just flying for free? What if he was up to something more dangerous? The TSA should be looking at people from dangerous countries flying with fake credentials instead of harassing innocent US citizens all day.
